A Rare White-Glazed Incised Ewer, Wanli mark and period
supported on a low tapered foot, the pear-shaped body rising to a columnar neck flaring to an upright lip, molded on two sides with a tear-shaped panel enclosing an incised dragon, the remainder of the body incised with floral sprays and scrolling tendrils, with upright plantain lappets at the neck, the spout and handle rising elegantly from the body, the glaze of a lustrous white color, a six-character Wanli mark incised on the base. height 7 7/8 in., 20 cm.
