Kangourou arboricole noir (Dandrolagus ursinus). Cette sous-espèce n'est présente qu'en Nouvelle-Guinée. Ces animaux seraient capables de se laisser tomber d'une branche au sol d'une hauteur de 18 mètres. Ils sont sans doute le résultat d'une adaptation à la nourriture feuillue des grandes forêts de Nouvelle-Guinée, alors que leurs cousins d'Australie se nourrissent d'une végétation plus proche du sol.
