The whole of amber and dark brown tortoiseshell with ivory banding, the rectangular stepped top centered by a ribbed spherical knob above ivory leaves, ribbons of horn, and a mother-of-pearl disk, the beaded corners bracketed by foliate sprays, with a mother-of-pearl escutcheon, on a molded ebonised base and ebony bun feet. Very good antique condition. height: 20.32 cm (8") - depth: 21.59 cm (8.5") - width/length: 35.56 cm (14").
