Finely carved with a well hollowed ovoid vase surmounted by an oval domed cover with a chilong finial, flanked by a ferocious dragon rising from the crashing waves and cloud scrolls and by a chilong dragon, all raised on crested waves spiralling to a whirlpool at the underside, the stone of an even pale green tone with minor pale russet inclusions and a russet streak, wood stand. 12.7cm (5in) wide. The flattened pear-shaped vase rising to the galleried rim carved with a key-fret border, flanked by a pair of elephant-loop handles, raised on a splayed foot, finely carved with the 'Three Friends of Winter', pine, prunus and bamboo, and a gushing waterfall, below ruyi and lappet borders around the shoulders and neck, the stone of honey-amber tone. 10.8cm (4¼in) high.
