A pair of cloisonné enamel garlic-necked bottle vases, 17th century

Each pear-shaped body rising from a high spreading foot to a swelling mouth surmounted by a serrated gilt rim, the bulbous bodies with confronted gui dragons and stylised shou characters, below a lotus scroll at the foot, all against a turquoise ground on one vase, and a blue ground on the other, the neck with overlapping upright leaves in green and blue enamel, below further lotus scroll bands and ruyi head borders at the mouth, each with characters at the rim. 23.4cm (9¼in) high.
