en forme de galet, sculpté sur une face d'une chauve souris et une svastika au dessus des flots, et sur l'autre face de rochers; bouchon en corail sculpté. 8,6 cm, 3 3/8 in. Estimate 6,000—8,000 EUR - Lot Sold 6,250 EUR
NOTE : The way the rockwork and clouds are carved are features traditionally associated to Suzhou School.
The design of bats flying above crested waves and rocky boulders is highly auspicious as it provides the rebus 'Furu Donghai, Shoubi Nanshan' (may once fortune be as vast as the seven Southern seas and may one live as long as the Northern mountains). This design is often find on Imperial wares
