A fine white jade covered vase. 18th Century Of flattened hu form with an angular profile, carved in high relief with a wide taotie mask band extending between two bands of upright flower petals that also appear on the tall cover while opposing chilong crawl around the curving shoulder; the off-white matrix displaying a subdued polish, abundant icy white veins and some natural fissure lines. 8 1/2in (24.5cm) high. A pair of carved white jade circular plaques and cloisonné enameled metal stands. Qianlong Marks Each plaque thinly sectioned and carved to one side with mirror images of three figures standing in a landscape setting, the reverse bearing an incised four-character mark in seal script filled with gold lacquer; the 18th Century metal stands decorated with brightly colored enamels and remains of gilt. 6 1/8 (15.5cm) high overall.
