Finely carved to resemble a plum tree trunk, a magpie perched on one of its blooming branches, all rendered in high relief and some deep undercutting; the evenly hued stone polished to a soft luster marked with pinpoint icy-white inclusions and a few dark spots. 4 1/4in (10.8cm) high. A mottled greenish white jade water coupe. 17th/18th Century
The ovoid contours of the boulder ingeniously retained to create a shallow basin shaped as two tiny dragons supported on the wings of a phoenix with its legs and curving tail feathers rendered in subtle low relief across the flat base, the pale gray-green matrix marked with veins of mottled russet hue. 4 3/4in (12.5cm) long. Fashioned in the form of a blooming flower resting on leafy branches that extend to form the handles, executed in reticulated work, the vein of the flower indicated with incised lines; the matrix of grayish green tone displaying areas of gray and buff-colored inclusions. 4 x 4 3/4 x 1 3/8in (10.2 x 12 x 3.4cm). Thinly sectioned, modeled in the shape of half of a peach, the exterior carved in relief with branches bearing lingzhi and prunus blossoms, the motif recurring to the handle in reticulated work; the semi-translucent stone of slight grayish-brown tone with oatmeal-like inclusions. 3 x 4 13/16 x 1 3/8in (7.7 x 12.2 x 4.2cm). Of compressed globular form with a recessed foot, flanked by two handles deeply undercut as blossoming, leafy flower branches; the milky white stone well polished to a soft luster displaying a few pale russet-stained natural fissure lines and some icy-white inclusions to the base. . 5 1/2in (14cm) length of the widest area. Two jade carvings
The first a libation cup with two reticulated floral spray handles (small chips), the off-white matrix marked with cloud-like inclusions and veins of very faint brown hue; the second a shallow dish in the form of a lotus leaf, decorated with a bundle of lotus blossoms and buds with raised stems that form the base, the semi-translucent matrix displaying numerous dark grayish specks. 4 7/8in (12.4cm) width of the first. Modeled as a fantastic rock in horizontal form with openwork details, one side decorated with two bats carved in relief; the stone of pale grayish-green tone marked with gray and brown inclusions. Estimate: $1,500 - 2,000

Of flattened hu form with an angular profile, carved in high relief with a wide taotie mask band extending between two bands of upright flower petals that also appear on the tall cover while opposing chilong crawl around the curving shoulder; the off-white matrix displaying a subdued polish, abundant icy white veins and some natural fissure lines. 8 1/2in (24.5cm) high. Each auspicious fruit growing from a common leafy stem while a miniature bat stretches across one fruit in a russet-marked patch on the otherwise uniformly colored matrix of very faint celadon cast polished to a soft luster.. 3 1/4in (11cm) long. Estimate: $10,000 - 15,000

The massive seal carved with a double dragon finial, the base bearing an inscription in Manchu and a twenty-character inscription in Chinese (Xiao mu wen hou zhuang xiao duan cheng ge hui kuan qin fu tian su sheng cheng huang hou zhi bao ) recording the posthumous title granted to the dead wife of the Daoguang emperor after he assumed the throne in 1820; together with a pieced wood cover and stand, the cover combining pieces of Japanese lacquer with colored stone overlays of 'one hundred antiques' themes. 4 x 4 1/2in (10 x 11.5cm) square. A fine 'spinach' jade marriage bowl. Qianlong
Its low, curving well centered with a raised peony flower head, the flower repeating to the top of the ruyi lappet handles suspending loose rings, the exterior walls encircled with a band of 'Eight Buddhist Treasures' amid curled ribbons and leaf scrolls and the base raised on four ruyi lappet feet; the dark and richly colored matrix marked with pin-point black inclusions, pale green patches and natural surface fissures. 13 5/8in (34.5cm) long.
