A collection of Peking glass snuff bottles and a necklace

A Peking glass necklace

Strung with one hundred-and-eight dark blue and lobed Peking glass beads with ribbed finish, separated by three larger size green glass beads, the three subsidiary strings each with ten red-colored beads, ending in a tear drop pendant made from either green glass or rose quartz, the counterweight a rounded square green glass pendant, finished with a metal-mounted green glass bead top. 43 1/2in (110.5cm) long  Estimate: $1,000 - 1,500

Two overlay decorated Peking glass snuff bottles

The first a pear form milky white bottle, decorated with brownish-red overlay, presenting a 'one hundred antiques' motif, carnelian stopper; the second a turquoise blue bottle with dark cranberry red overlay decoration, depicting auspicious scenes of fish and qilin, separated by rocks, pine tree and lingzhi, the bottle mounted with a brass stand and mouth rim; red glass stopper. 7.3 and 8cm high. Estimate: $700 - 900

Two Peking glass snuff bottles with applied painted panels

Both of flattened globular form, one with a snowflake background, the other of milky white color, each with clear watch glasses on both sides, covering hand-painted panels, one bottle with an animal motif, the other with scenes of figures and rivers; each bottle with overlay mask and mock ring handles on the sides. 6cm high. Estimate: $600 - 800

Two red-overlay decorated Peking glass snuff bottles

The first a pear-shaped bottle with a snowflake ground, overlaid in cranberry red to form an archaistic bronze design; the second a flattened globular bottle, overlaid in darker red with the design of 'Muwang ba jun' (Muwang's eight horses); stoppers. 6.8 and 5.5cm high. Estimate: $600 - 800

Two ruby red Peking glass snuff bottles. 19th Century

Both of rectangular form, the first with an oval foot and slightly tapering neck, incised on one side with two poetic lines, reversed with branches of blooming prunus, the base incised with Kangxi nian zhi; the second with cusped edges, the main sides undecorated, with two faux animal mask handles; stoppers. 6 and 7.2cm high. Estimate: $600 - 800

Three Peking glass snuff bottles

The first a faint blue-hued transparent bottle overlaid in apple green with two opposing crabs, the waves detailed with incised lines forming the foot; the second a Yangzhou-style bottle decorated with five-color overlays depicting auspicious flowers, birds, and a buffalo; the last a plain pink bottle with numerous water drop patterns. 5.8 to 6.4cm high. Estimate: $600 - 800

Three blue overlay decorated Peking glass snuff bottles. Late Qing /Republic Period

The first two each with a snowflake background overlaid with cobalt blue glass, one carved with 'One Hundred Antiques', the other with the eight Buddhist emblems; the third a transparent yellowish green bottle overlaid with carved blue 'ribbon'; all with stoppers. 6 to 6.8cm high. Estimate: $600 - 800
