Notes; This early eighties' glass nest features a smooth, translucent shell and is UNIQUE. DALE CHIHULY's early 'Seaform' works, which pieces preceded the 'Macchias' and the 'Persians', were the bridge between his glass baskets and his progression into the fully abstract. This set combines a smooth and opalescent minimal bowl with anemone-inspired and rippled sea-forms, and includes the large ribbed nest (13.5 x 14.5 x 9.5 inches) with the group. All of the components are in excellent condition. In the artist's typical fashion, only the large work is signed.
