Shopping of Kashmir and Ceylon Sapphire @ Sotheby's Hong Kong

Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 18.08 carats, flanked by two similarly-cut diamonds together weighing 2.96 carats, mounted in platinum. Estimate Upon Request - Sold 11,748,000 HKD

Ring size: 5 3/4

Accompanied by AGTA, AGL and Gübelin reports stating that the 18.08 carat sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Sapphires which have not been heated are scarce; also accompanied by a special AGTA portfolio "Kashmir Sapphire JewelFolio No.0012", stating that the sapphires of Kashmir form an exclusive class of their own, the quality and size of this sapphire is exceptional for this locality. Also accompanied by two GIA reports, numbered 15272410 and 15272447, dated 9 and 11 October 2006, stating that the 1.45 and 1.51 carat diamonds are E colour, VVS1 and VS2 clarity respectively.
