Stoutly potted, the deep sides fluidly carved with a wide band of foliate meander below a key-fret band, the concave warming surface similarly carved around a central bloom, the unglazed, countersunk base burnt orange in the firing around a central aperture through which the hollowed interior would have been filled. 8¼ in. The deep bowl sturdily potted with gently rounded walls ending with an everted rim, the interior carved with a central large bloom within a shaped panel, the well with meandering leafy scroll, and the exterior with a wide band of upright leaves, the unglazed base revealing the burnt red biscuit body. 7 in.
