Raised on a short, circular foot, the sides carved in low relief with taotie masks centered on a narrow flange, beneath a monster mask at the grooved rim, interrupted by a pair of elaborate handles issuing from stylized animal masks, the domed cover carved en suite below a circular finial with out-turned rim carved with lotus lappets - 6½ in. Boldly carved in high relief with three chilong clambering about the faceted body in pursuit of a flaming pearl, with two bats flittering amidst clouds in low relief framed by a thin raised border, the whole between ruyi heads at the top and bottom, carved from a fine white stone of even tone with some traces of pale russet color - 2¾ in.
