It is rare to find a glass vase of this form in green, but examples in other colours are recorded. For an octagonal facetted yellow glass vase, see Emily Byrne Curtis, Pure Brightness Shines Everywhere: The Glass of China, Aldershot, 2004, pl. 9.1. For a turquoise Qianlong reign-marked glass vase of this shape in the Andrew K. F. Lee collection, see Elegance and Radiance, The Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 2000, cat.no. 17.

For glass vases of similar octagonal form sold at auction, see a turquoise example, sold Sotheby's Hong Kong, 25 April 2004, lot 140; and a 'realgar' example, sold Christie's London, 3 November 2009, lot 14.
