Of globular form with a slightly recessed base, wide lip, well-hollowed, the body carved with a continuous landscape scene with a scholar reading, the reverse with an inscription in clerical script from the Confucian Analects reading 'wu ri san xing wu shen' translated as 'I examine myself daily on three points' followed by a carved seal, with glass stopper. 2 1/4in (6cm) Sold for $5,185
