Monsieur Louis Gerard was formally an executive at Van Cleef & Arpels and founded his own company with the assistance of Comtesse de Ribes in 1968. Within a decade he became the one of the largest jewelers in Paris , London and Monte Carlo with a reputation of fine jewels manufactured to the highest possible standard. In 1985 he sold the company to a group of American investors and continued to run the firm until his retirement in 1988.
