the delicately potted deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, the exterior finely incised with a pair of scaly five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl' amidst 'fire and cloud' scrolls, all between ruyi and classic scroll bands and picked out in a translucent emerald green reserved on a rich egg-yolk yellow ground, the interior with a medallion enclosing a large shou character, the base with an underglaze blue six-character seal mark; 10.2 cm., 4 in.
