A Chinese porcelain wucai baluster vase and cover, Shunzhi, 1644-1661. Courtesy Marchant

painted in a continuous scene with three standing dignitaries holding hu tablets and their attendants in front of a large landscape screen amongst rockwork, banana plant and a cloud bank, the shoulder with a band of cracked ice beneath branches of chrysanthemum, camellia and rockwork on the neck, the cover decorated with three boys, plants and rockwork. 13 ¾ inches, 34.9cm total height. Condition: Body star crack extending to the rim and small rim chip. Price on request.
