The pear-shaped body painted in Ming style with bamboo and banana palms in a terraced garden setting, above a lappet band at the foot and below a ruyi squared scroll and foliate borders at the neck and foliate sprays below the rim. Height 15 inches. Vase was drilled as a lamp, hole has been filled in. Horizontal old glaze crack on exterior of foot rim approximately 4 inches long. Small burst bubble on rim. Light surface scratches to widest part of vase. Estimate $12,000-18,000
