Tripode recipient. Vietnam, 1st - 3rd century AD. © Galerie Christophe Hioco

ceramic. Height: 9 inches. Price: $3,900.00

This tripode recipient in enamelled ceramic was probably a domestic object and shows a very peculiar shape which could be find in similar bronze objects stemming from China. This type of recipient is particularly rare in the Vietnamese pottery of the beginning of our Era.

Such a bowl thus constitutes a valuable witness of the considerable influence of China on Vietnam. Its perfect state of preservation strengthens its quality and value.
