“The longest lasting sculpture sale ever took place, when we sold the 279 lots of the Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé collection. In six hours numerous records were set within a sale result of €24,207,825, tripling its low estimate. The range of works dating from the 13th to the 19th Century attracted mainly private collectors and many new bidders to the category from all over the world”, commented Donald Johnston, Head of European Sculpture.
