An ormolu-mounted 'Blanc-de-Chine' 'Guanyin and boy' group. Qing dynasty, circa 1800 the female Deity seated upon a tall rockwork base with her left leg crossed over her right, her body turned slightly forward, holding an amphora in one hand, the other supported on a ledge next to a bound handscroll, dressed in long billowing scarves and voluminous robes tied around the waist with a tasselled rope-belt trailing elegantly down to her feet, where a small acolyte gazes up at the Deity in adoration, mounted onto an ormolu base. 40...
