Painted to the interior with a medallion enclosing an iron-red scaly five-clawed dragon reserved on an underglaze blue foaming wave ground, the exterior similarly decorated with nine dragons below a double-coin band, all supported on a short slightly tapering foot. 17.5cm diam. Sold for HK$216,000

The central medallion brilliantly enamelled with a five-clawed red dragon, the twisted body of menacing posture with its mouth open, depicted flying amidst clouds in pursuit of a flaming pearl, the exterior flanked by a pair of yellow and green dragons also chasing flaming pearls. 27.2cm diam.
