A coral-red and blue 'mythical beast' bowl. Qianlong mark and period the deep slightly curved sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, painted to the interior with a medallion enclosing a scaly winged dragon reserved on an iron-red wave ground, the exterior similarly painted with various mythical beasts between keyfret and dentil bands. 21cm., 8 1/4 in.
