Early 18th Century The whole of amber and dark brown tortoiseshell with ivory banding, the rectangular stepped top centered by a ribbed spherical knob above ivory leaves, ribbons of horn, and a mother-of-pearl disk, the beaded corners bracketed by foliate sprays, with a mother-of-pearl escutcheon, on a molded ebonised base and ebony bun feet.
