Its shallow curving well with upright lip and part of the exterior walls covered with a black glaze layer onto which iron oxide slip was splashed to create the contrasting russet spots, some containing silvery metallic flecks.. 5 3/4in (14.5cm) diameter. Estimate: $2,000 - 3,000

Of pear form raised on a tall foot and finished with a rim to the flared neck, the black slip glaze applied to the exterior brushed with a lighter iron oxide wash to form a stylized leaf scroll design. 11 3/4in (29cm) high. Estimate: $2,500 - 4,000
