A Rare 'Cizhou' Green-Glazed Painted Vase (Meiping) Northern Song / Jin Dynasty of elegant form with rounded shoulders tapering down to a narrow foot, the short waisted neck widening to an everted lip, finely painted in black with full peony blossoms framed by slender leaves, applied with a thin green glaze stopping evenly above the unglazed foot revealing the buff body. height 11 3/4 in., 29.8 cm. A Rare 'Cizhou' Carved Bowl, Northern Song Dynasty

A Rare 'Cizhou' Carved Bowl, Northern Song Dynasty well-potted with deep rounded sides rising to a lipped rim, the interior and exterior applied with a white slip, carved on the exterior with a pattern of vertical and U-shaped grooves glazed brown, all covered with a clear glaze, the foot left unglazed revealing the pale-gray body, three spur marks to the interior. diameter 4 7/8 in., 12.4 cm.
