The tankard is a spectacular example of how the Ottoman court borrowed forms from everyday life and turned them into luxury items. LONDON.- A rare jade tankard inlaid with gold and studded with rubies and emeralds has been acquired by the V&A. Un sceau chinois impérial en jade, utilisé par l'empereur Qianlong (1736-1795), a été vendu pour 12,4 millions d'euros (17,45 millions de dollars) samedi lors d'une vente aux enchères organisée dans le sud-ouest de la France, ce qui est désormais l'adjudication la plus chère jamais réalisée pour un sceau.
