 Alongside the new, graceful aesthetic developed over the course of the Qianlong Emperor’s long reign came a re-interpretation of traditional archaic Chinese design. A Ming-Style Huanghuali Round-Corner Tapered Cabinet, Yuanjiaogui, 18th Century The protruding top frame with beaded, rounded edges supported on corner posts of rounded square section framing the panel doors, opening to reveal the interior with three shelves, all above a plain apron and apron-head spandrels on the front and sides. 57 7/8 in.
