Yaozhou celadon glazed stoneware bowl with carved decoration. Jin/Yuan Dynasty Potted with a canted rim flange above combed waves surrounding a carved flower sprig across its deep curving well, the glossy olive green glaze unevenly applied across the interior and exterior walls, and a small amount also visible on the cinnamon-burnt surface of the recessed base. 5 1/2in (14cm) diameter. Northern Song Dynasty Molded with a flared rim, carved in light relief with a chrysanthemum and scrolling leaf pattern across the deep interior well and vertical hash marks around the exterior walls, all beneath a limpid olive green glaze, spots of which also appear on the recessed base. 4 1/4in (11cm) diameter. Northern Song dynasty with gently rounded sides rising to a filet set beneath a rounded rim, the interior carved in a medallion with an open lotus blossom and a furled lotus leaf viewed in profile against a ground of scrolling foliage, covered in a light olive-green glaze, pooling in the recesses to a deeper colour. 19.1cm., 7 1/2 in. A 'Yaozhou' Russet-Splashed Black-Glazed Bowl, Northern Song dynasty finely potted, with rounded sides rising up to a slightly everted rim, all supported on a tall foot, the interior covered in a lustrous black glaze with streaks of russet splashes, the exterior predominantly coated with the russet skin revealing hints of the black glaze below, the lower body and foot unglazed revealing the light gray ware burnt slightly buff color in the firing, Japanese wood box (2). diameter 4 7/8 in., 12.4 cm.
