A pair of early 20th century pearl and diamond pendent earrings. photo courtesy Bonhams Each drop-shaped pearl of light grey or white tint, measuring 9.9-10.0mm., surmounted by a cap of chevron design set with rows of single and rose-cut diamonds, suspended from an articulated line of single and old brilliant-cut diamonds, length 6.2cm. An imperial yellow silk court robe or chi-fu, late 19th century, early 20th century embroidered with the Twelve Symbols of Imperial Authority, later tailoring. Early 20th century, attributed to Ye Bengqi The globular body supported on a short straight-cut foot and with a cylindrical neck ending in a gently flaring rim, brightly enamelled around the exterior with large rose blooms and daylillies issuing from elaborate rockwork and two small birds perched on a delicately enamelled branch, all below three flying insects around the neck, the base with a Qianlong blue-enamel four-character mark. 3½ in.
