Indian Ringnecked Parrot, Psittacula krameri The male Indian Ring-Necked Parrot is easily recognizable by the black band that encircles his throat. Females of the species are almost identical, but they lack this distinctive trait. Although beautiful to look at, these birds can be extremely vocal and emit loud, screeching noises.
