A pair of Chinese yellow and green 'dragon' bowls. Kangxi six character mark and of the period (1662-1722) Incised on the exterior with a pair of five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl, between fire-scrolls and cloud-whorls, above a band of rolling waves encircling the base, all picked out in green enamels reserved on a dark yellow ground, the interiors glazed white - 14.4 cm. diam. A pair of yellow and green enamelled 'dragon' dishes. Seal marks and period of Qianlong each delicately potted with a scalloped rim resting on a short slightly tapering foot, the interior with a central medallion finely incised with a pair of five-clawed dragons contending a 'flaming pearl' amid floral scrolls, the sides similarly decorated with a further pair of dragons chasing 'flaming pearls' amid floral scrolls below double-line bands, the exterior decorated with the same design, the designs picked out in bright...
