NOTE: Longquan wares with molded and applied decoration first appeared in the late Song Dynasty and were produced in large quantities in the Yuan. See a similar and slightly smaller vase (25 cm) recovered from a ship wrecked in 1323 off the coast of Sinan and included in the Special Exhibition of Cultural Relics Found Off Sinan Coast, Seoul, 1977, pl. 10.
