A Small Blue and White Rectangular Box And Cover, Ming Dynasty, Chongzhen Period
the rectangular cover cut from the top section of the box, painted with a long-tailed bird perched on the branch of a flowering tree which partially obscures a large moon, among rocks and bamboo, the box painted on four sides with prunus and lotus branches, the underside of the cover with a two-character inscription (2). 1 7/8 x 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 in., 4.8 x 11.7 x 7.9 cm.
