Realistically carved as two snails, in black jadeite suffused with pale green and brown patches, depicting the rebus '相親相愛', meaning 'an intimate pair falls in love', on a fitted wooden stand, dimensions of one of the top snail 76.4 x 42.4 x 32.2mm. (2). Sold for HK$33,600

Accompanied by a report from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the selected carving is natural jadeite and no resin was detected. Report number KJ 41861, dated 18th March 2009.
