carved with stylised confronting mythical beasts amongst trailing lingzhi sprays on a ground of cloud scrolls, underglaze blue four character commendation mark to base 'Wen zhang shan dou' (Scholarship as high as the mountains and the Great Bear) -- 8½in. (21.5cm) diam. Est. £1,000 - £2,000

A robin's egg glazed vase, 18th century

the body of ovoid form with a short waisted neck and on a short footrim, a slender raised band to the body near the foot and a further parallel double band to the shoulder, covered with a mottled turquoise and deep purple glaze -- 5 5/8in. (14.3cm.) high. Est. £1,000 - £1,500

A celadon glazed gu vase, 19th century

moulded to the raised mid-section with peony sprays and scrolling leaves, stiff petal formed lappets extending outwards from the centre, covered in a pale green transluscent glaze -- 15 5/8in. (39.6cm.) high. Est. £1,000 - £1,500

A mirror black glazed double gourd vase with painted enamel bow, Daoguang mark and of the period (1822-1851)
